But what we heard the most was how much it was about community. Everyone getting along, shaking hands, hugging, slapping each other on the backs, toasting, laughing, joking, sincerely being happy to see old acquaintances and friends… you know, just a bunch of real people in a real city being real. It was and has always been for the past eleven years one of Hamilton’s most looked forward to (massive) community house party!
There was a draw to win a shopping spree at Limeridge Mall and the winner was Vickey B from Oakville. Just to get a sense of how much Hamilton has transformed, when asked what city she was from Vicky wrote on her ballot Oakville “but I wish it was the Hammer”. Yes Hamilton we have come a long way in the past 5-10 years and there is still so much more to look forward to.
We are already planning for next Springs 2017 version of Food & Drink Fest and hope to release some exciting details soon. In the meantime thank you again to all of you who made it out this year and we hope you enjoy looking through some of the pics from the weekend and for those that never made it out this year… yes you should be feel a little jealous, but there is always next year!!!
